Lauren E. Kasak
Director, Principal Investigator; West Coast Division

Lauren has been interested in the paranormal since she was a child growing up in a paranormally active home. She read extensively on the topic, trying to find answers to her many questions. When books were no longer enough, she began investigating and seek out others who shared her interest.

In 2006, she joined Pacific Paranormal Investigations (PPI), where she learned a great deal and strengthen her investigative skills. In 2008, Lauren embraced her entrepreneurial spirit and decided it was time to strike out on her own. She continues to have a good working relationship with PPI and also consults for South Coast Paranormal.

For Lauren, it is important to reconcile the personal truth of a haunting with the facts of the case. She seeks to create a solid methodology and theory to legitimize paranormal research within the scientific community. In her experience, much of what is believed to be ghostly activity can be explained away with a critical eye for debunking. It is that which defies explanation that can truly be called "paranormal."

Lauren is proud of her Lumia PRS team, as she knows they share the same goals.

Chris Avellino
Investigator; West Coast Division

As a youth, Chris had multiple experiences with the paranormal. It wasn't until almost 25 years later, however, that Chris began to actively pursue his understanding of it and trying to separate fact from fiction. Chris works in operations, and his inherent nature is to ask the "why" and "how" questions in order to get to root cause. Chris studied business and public relations while in college and feels these attributes help when planning for cases and meeting with clients.

Dan Harris, M.A.
Principal Religious Studies Researcher; Midwest Division

Dan has been interested in the paranormal ever since he can remember thinking. Some of his fondest memories are his first paranormal investigation, at age 14, of a defunct Jesuit dormatory; and the time he spent researching cemeteries on the island of Java, Indonesia. Dan's initial forays into the academic realm of the paranormal came by means of an interest in Christian mysticism which expanded into a general interest in religion, the occult, and mysticism.  Dan has since attained a Master's degree in anthropology, specializing in world religions and animism.

Dan brings his extensive research and international experience in the paranormal to bear on every investigation. Equally skilled in research and investigative technique, Dan lends a spiritual vantage point to every case while still maintaining scientific objectivism.
